Movie Info

In this new beginning, scientist Bruce Banner desperately hunts for a cure to the gamma radiation that poisoned his cells and unleashes the unbridled force of rage within him: The Hulk. Living in the shadows–cut off from a life he knew and the woman he loves, Betty Ross–Banner struggles to avoid the obsessive pursuit of his nemesis, General Thunderbolt Ross and the military machinery that seeks to capture him and brutally exploit his power. As all three grapple with the secrets that led to the Hulk’s creation, they are confronted with a monstrous new adversary known as the Abomination, whose destructive strength exceeds even the Hulk’s own. One scientist must make an agonising final choice: accept a peaceful life as Bruce Banner or find heroism in the creature he holds inside–The Incredible Hulk.

Rage Reviews

Origin: 21/25

It was true to the comic in some aspects, abomination was a risk, which looked good. I liked the locations and thought that the hulk acted and looked great. They could have done so much to enrich this film, but left it with the minimal required, it was more of a setup film for future instalments.

Story: 12/25

They played it very safe, and it was a bit like the 2003 film, but with a big fight at the end. The fight was probably the best bit, until they stopped, then it just flopped, at that point you just wanted to move on to the next film.

Camera/SFX: 18/25

The effects were good, the Hulk looked fearsome, I liked how they reduced him in size from the previous hulk. But abomination was the best looking, scary, big, strong, a really opponent for the Hulk. This film was exiting at times but then nothing great going for when it came to the theatrical, shots were ok and effect were good.

Performance: 16/25

I was not amazed by any of the actors, Norton was good, but I felt he lacked any emotion that wasn’t grumpy or angry. It made it hard to love Bruce Banner, even the chemistry between Edward and Liv was lacklustre. Tim Roth was probably the best, very calculated and cunning. After a film like Iron Man you would expect them to be on their game, however I feel like creative differences were at play here.

Overall it was a film that excited me for a short while, but giving w=me nothing to invest into. It is more of a filler film when you have nothing to do on a Sunday.

  1. An attention-grabbing dialogue is worth comment. I think that you need to write more on this subject, it won’t be a taboo topic but typically individuals are not sufficient to talk on such topics. To the next. Cheers
